About Us

How Mailing Sunshine came to be...

Sending cards and letters has always been a part of who I am. The act of writing to someone...taking time to think about the person, the relationship, their circumstances...is a wonderful experience...for the person receiving the note as well as the sender.

Years ago as my son, Samuel, was practicing free throws in our driveway, I walked toward our mailbox with a handful of cards.

He called after me, "Whatcha doing, Mom?" I replied over my shoulder with a smile, "I'm mailing sunshine."

One of a Kind

Each card has unique artwork created by me or my daughter, Emma. Some of the cards contain a simple message inside. Some are blank. Some have multiple choice sentences

to help you when you can't quite find the words.

Boomerang Cards

Some of the multiple choice cards can be sent as Boomerang Cards!

You mail the card with a self-addressed envelope in a larger envelope to your friend/parent/sibling/child/neighbor/whoever with instructions to "check all that apply and mail the card back."

Whether you know exactly what to say or have no idea where to begin, Mailing Sunshine has a card for you. Browse through our selection of blank cards, those with a simple message, and those with multiple choice (sometimes humorous) messages so you can tailor it to your relationship and event.

These cards can be sent with instructions to "check all that apply and mail back in the enclosed self-addressed envelope." You simply address the envelope to yourself, put a postage stamp on it if you're feeling generous and want to make it painfully easy for the recipient to send the card back to you, and address the larger envelope to the recipient. Place the card, self-addressed envelope, and instruction sheet into the larger envelope and mail it...one first-class postage stamp will cover the cost within the US.
